Greek Horseman Relief — Metropolitan Museum of Art
[7] Some of the finest qualities of the art of Classical Greece are combined in this reproduction of a marble relief fragment from around 100 BC. The dominating spirit of the fragment reflects the feeling of men as individuals with the same joy in mankind as found in the plays of Euripides. This copy was cast in composition stone in the Museum’s reproduction studio.
